Netherlands: the A2 closes at night and the A73 shuts the Venlo direction
Works between 15 and 21 September affect two southern Dutch corridors. The A2 changes section and timing at the weekend.
Rijkswaterstaat confirms night closures on the A2 between St. Joost and Born, in both directions, on the nights of 15, 16 and 17 September, from 21:00 to 05:00. On the nights of 18 and 19, from 21:00 to 08:00, the closure towards Maastricht ends at Roosteren; towards Eindhoven it still runs from Born to St. Joost. Expect about ten extra minutes on the signed diversions.
On the A73, the Venlo direction closes between Malden and Haps from 17/09 at 21:00 to 21/09 at 05:00, with up to 40 extra minutes. All times are local — one hour ahead of the UK.
If you have work in the Benelux, confirm the route and the delivery margin before choosing one of these corridors. See the traffic alerts and the Netherlands page.
These closures come on top of the Merwedebrug restriction on the A27, published earlier. They are separate works: they do not change the bridge ban, nor do they justify reusing its diversion automatically.
